Scott Guthrie offers independent professional advisory services to the influencer marketing industry and heads the Influencer Marketing Trade Body (IMTB). Additionally, Scott is a conference speaker, guest university lecturer, host of the Influencer Marketing Lab podcast and media commentator. Vuelio has included Scott’s website within its top 10 PR blogs for the past four years (2018 -2021) and Scott has been included within the Talking Influence Top 50, a list that aims to recognize the key players and change-makers within the influencer marketing industry.
Scott has authored chapters for five business books about progressive public relations and influencer marketing. The most recent contribution is to the academic textbook “Influencer Marketing: Building Brand Communities and Engagement”, published by Routledge in 2020.
He is the past chair of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ (CIPR) influencer marketing panel, a Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) member, and an editorial board member of both Talking Influence and Influence publications.
Scott’s 2021 definition of Social Media Influencers is included in the Palgrave Encyclopedia of Interest groups, Lobbying and Public Affairs.
He holds an MBA and BA (Hons.) in English Literature.
